You Me At Six’s Cavalier Youth Tops UK Album Charts

You Me At Six have climbed their way up to the top of UK’s music chart with their first number one album, Cavalier Youth.

The fourth album by the English rockers pushed aside Ellie Goulding’s Halcyon from the first position, while Beyoncé’s self-titled fifth album dropped to number three. Avicii’s True Drops came in at number four.

You Me At Six’s frontman Josh Franceschi said, “The main goal of this record was to make a body of work, rather than a collection of songs. Instead of having one song with screaming on it followed by a random quiet and so on, we wanted to make it as cohesive as possible.”

“We felt that our last record could have been quite confusing for the listener, so we wanted to really hone our sound with this one.”

In the meantime, “Rather be with you” by Clean Bandit scores the number one spot on the singles chart for the second week running. “Feelin’ Myself” by, Miley Cyrus and Wiz Khalifa holds the second position, while “Happy” by Pharrell Williams scored the number three spot.
