Simon Cowell Cancelled US X-Factor

Could this be the first failure in the career of music mogul Simon Cowell? After being aired for three seasons, Simon decided to cancel the US version of The X-Factor. At first Simon left the British show to launch the series in the US, but TV executives confirmed last week that the show is being axed since Cowell wasn’t available for the panel.

Cowell’s now back in the British show and in an interview with, he said, “Network chiefs would have taken the American show, but they wouldn’t take it without me, so we sort of booted them off, I suppose. But it’s not like that. I don’t know why any show wants to compete in America right now. It’s too flooded, the market. There’s going to be… something like 14 talent shows on American TV this year. It’s becoming like a joke.”

However, the cancellation of the show isn’t Cowells’ biggest issue. He admitted that he wants pop star Cheryl Cole back on the panel of the British X-Factor after he previously transferred her to the US. To make things worse, he even fired her before the series started to broadcast.

“I would love Cheryl to come back. To be fair to Cheryl, it’s never been about the money with her. It’s all about whether she wants to do it, whether she can deal with the pressure,” Simon added.
