British rapper Professor Green is due to appear before the court on 20 March, after he was charged with drinking and driving in London last November.

Professor, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, was charged yesterday.

He will appear before magistrates related to an incident on 3 November last year, when he called the police to report an alleged assault.

Officers who were investigating the theft of his Rolex watch found out his Mercedes was previously involved in a crash with a van and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Not a month later, he was involved in another incident after he reported for bail, but ended up arrested on suspicion of preventing the cause of justice.

A police spokesperson said, “‘Stephen Manderson, 30, of Tyrwhitt Road, has this evening been charged with drink-driving following an incident on November 3 in Tyrwhitt Road. He will appear on bail at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on March 20.”
