The Hunger Games assistant director Peter Rodger was desperate to find his son Elliot after he saw a terrifying video on YouTube.com. In the video his son outlined his massacre plans.

The 22-year old British-born student is now suspected of stabbing three people and shooting three more during his killing spree. The horror took place in Isla Vista, California on Friday, May 23.

Reportedly, there are at least 13 other injured during his rampage. The killing spree ended when Elliot crashed his car and allegedly shot himself in the head. He took his own life after exchanging gunfire with police.

It has now been revealed that Peter, his filmmaking father, was alerted to his son’s breakdown by watching a YouTube.com video titled Retribution. In the video, the student vows to exact “revenge against humanity” by “slaughtering” young women.

His father and his mother, Lichin, reportedly contacted police and drove from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara on Friday. They attempted to find their son, but were, however, unable to locate him.

Elliot Rodger’s official blog website has only one entry, of April 16 2014, titled “Lonely in Santa Barbara”.

It reads, “Being lonely in a beautiful place like Santa Barbara is truly a horrible experience. As I’ve said many times, a beautiful environment can be the darkest hell if you have to experience it all alone, especially while having to watch other men walking around with their girlfriends. I wish girls were attracted to me. I don’t know why they aren’t.”
