British rapper Professor Green is banned from driving for a year after admitting he was drunk-driving.

Instead of having an ordinary day, star had a reality check situation.

Professor Green, real name Stephen Manderson, was arrested in November 2013 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Prior to his arrest, the police discovered his car was involved in a minor crash with a van.

Unfortunately for the star, after calling the police to his house to report a stolen watch, he ended up in a police cell when they smelled alcohol and immediately subjected him to a breath test.

The 30-year old Manderson, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court in England where he pleaded guilty to the charge.

Reports say the rapper had nearly double the legal amount of alcohol in his system. They fined him with $640 (£400) and ordered another $200 (£125) for court costs. His punishment is a minimum of 12 months off the road, but he could be held for nine months if he agrees to take a drink-drive awareness test.
