Lily Allen Declined Role In GOT As It Involved Incest Scenes With Alfie

Singer Lily Allen says she almost landed a role on Game Of Thrones, alongside her actor brother Alfie, who portrays Theon Greyjoy on the hit TV series.

The 29-year old singer revealed during a Reddit chat on Tuesday, May 13 that bosses of the HBO popular show had offered her the role of Theon’s soldier sister Yara.

However, she turned down the role due to an uncomfortable first scene between the two which portrays Theon trying to seduce the sister he haven’t seen in years.

“I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s***,” Lily said.

“Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks.”

Alfie has portrayed Theon, an heir to the Lord Of the Iron Islands, since the first season of the show, which has seen the character go from womanizing man to a shell of his former self after being tortured and castrated by evil Ramsay Snow (Iwan Rheon) in the third season.

The role of Yara ended up going to Gemma Whelan who also made an appearance in last week’s episode, when she made a heroic attempt to rescue him.

However, Lily said she is still interested in appearing in the show, but in a different manner.
“I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros,” she said.

The Icelandic band made an appearance at King Joffrey’s wedding ceremony, earlier in this season, to perform the Rains of Castermere.
