Gene Simmons Set To Produce ‘Ugly Model’ TV Show

Legendary Kiss rocker Gene Simmons will be producing a new reality TV show titled Ugly Models. The series will follow the story surrounding a British agency which represents unique-looking male and female models.

The musician will back the project for America’s Lifetime network. It will document a U.K.-based agency as it moves to America and adapts to a complete different market.

The agency represents “character models with unique and unusual looks”, and goes by the motto of “Any beauty can be airbrushed but we want to have true character.”

The company’s website reads, “We like our women fat and our men geeky, we like the extremely tall and the shockingly small. No one is too abstract for our books! We are Ugly. And we are the leaders in character modeling. With a unique outlook on modeling [sic], our philosophy is simple – ‘Any beauty can be airbrushed but we want our look to have true character.’”

Among their talents is the tallest man in the world, Sultan Kosen (“At 8ft1, he’s got legs to die for!”).

“Prince Albert” has, according to the website, 241 piercings, while Elaine Davidson boasts 2,520.

They also have more traditional looking models, so “If you have luscious locks and fab-abs you’re still Ugly to us!”

In addition to his seven season of his family reality TV series, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, the star and his bandmate Paul Stanley have collaborated on a series surrounding the arena football team they own together, the L.A. Kiss. The show is set to premiere in America this summer.
