Ellie Goulding Receives Two Best Video Nods for Brit Awards

In the last few months, Ellie Goulding’s career seems better than ever. Just the other day she was announced as the most nominated celebrity at the 2014 Brit Awards. She received a double nomination in the newest shortlist for Best Video, and subsequently she has surpassed Bastille and Disclosure.

Ellie’s videos for “I Need Your Love” and “Burn” will stand against “Best Song Ever”, “Love Me Again” and “La La La” by One Direction, John Newman and Naughty Boy, respectively.

The ceremony is scheduled for 19 February, in London, and that’s when the public can start to vote via Twitter. We can surely expect a fierce competition.

Overall, Ellie has two songs running for Best British Single, two songs competing for Best Video and she’s running for the title of Best British Female, summing up her nominations for 2014 Brit Awards to five.

The pop star is closely followed by rockers Bastille and dance duo Disclosure, who both have four nominations. Still, this doesn’t mean they’re not tough rivals.

Recent rumours stated that Beyoncé is expected to perform at this year’s Brit Awards. However, a source said, “Beyoncé is on. The only reason this has not yet been announced officially is because the Brits guys are nervous it could all go wrong again.”
