Boy George Proud Of His Bruise Stunt During BRIT Awards

British pop star Boy George apparently exploited a loop in psychology of mass media, by sporting a fake bruise on his face during the BRIT Awards last month.

The singer stood up for his decision insisting the bruise got him “more publicity than people who won awards.”

George immediately hit the headlines after his beaten-up appearance on the red carpet at the music ceremony in London.

On the other hand, his make-up stunt resulted in criticism from many fans, prompting him to write on his Twitter page, “There’s something sexy about a shiner and a quiff.”

In addition, George doesn’t feel sorry for his negatively recognized stunt and reveals he’s actually enjoying the attention he has at the moment, telling Sydney Daily Telegraph, “Why do you think I went to the BRIT Awards with a bruise on my eye? I got more publicity than people who won awards. I was on the news. Still got it! You don’t have to do much these days. People are quite boring. Artists don’t have opinions anymore.”
