TV presenters are often underrated in their roles as entertainers because they do the job of capturing the audience’s attention and keeping it so effortlessly that nobody really realizes that they’re working.
Let’s take a look at our six favorite British TV presenters as we spare a thought for all of their dedication.
1. Ant and Dec
What can we say about the lovable duo? Ant and Dec started out as child actors and met on the set of BBC teen drama Byker Grove.
In the beginning, the partnership went under the boys’ character names, PJ and Duncan, and they enjoyed some success in the pop biz. Then they made the transition to themselves and began presenting. They have never looked back.
2. Paul O’Grady
The multi-talented funny man began his career as transvestite alter-ego comedian Lily Savage.
Since he dropped his favorite lady and began presenting, Britain’s love affair with the down-to -earth Liverpudlian man has gone from strength to strength.
3. Tess Daly
Married to funny man and fellow presenter Vernon Kay, Tess Daly has cemented her place as one of our favorite presenters by being a regular face at the BBC.
She has been presenting Strictly Come Dancing alongside stalwart Bruce Forsythe since 2004.
