6 Britain’s Got Talent Winners

We all love the Royal Variety Show and when telly genius Mr Simon Cowell came up with the concept of finding the cream of Britain’s talent to showcase for the queen on that very stage we couldn’t have been more excited!

Now, a whopping seven seasons in, we’re going to take a look at the past winning acts just days after this year’s winners graced the iconic stage, and we ask ourselves where are our winners now?

1. Paul Potts

Carphone Warehouse salesman Paul Potts’ amazing operatic voice won him the title of “first winner”. Six years later, the singer has two top five albums (the first going platinum) and a worldwide tour across 85 cities under his belt. Paul’s story attracted the attention of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, who produced a biopic of the Welsh singer’s life starring comedian James Corden.

2. George Sampson

Who could forget that cute little 14-year-old who stepped out on stage and busted a mean move?  We fell in love with him instantly, but ever since the season ended his career has been a bumpy one. After appearing on stage at the West End and then diving with a singing career, Simon Cowell dumped him quicker than a hot potato. Since then, he’s turned his hand to acting, debuting on the big screen in StreetDance 3D, and then taking to the small screen in Waterloo Road and Mount Pleasant.
