13 Celebrities Who Won The BRIT Award



The Brit Awards are the British equivalent of the American Grammy Awards, and are given annually since 1977. The next Brit Awards ceremony will be held on February 19, in the O2 Arena in London. Since we have more than two weeks until the ceremony, we will look at some of the previous winners of the Brit Award.

1. Adele

Last year, British singer Adele won the Single of the Year award for her song Skyfall that was used in the latest James Bond sequel. In 2012, Adele won the Album of the Year award for 21, and became the best Female Solo Artist the same year.

2. Robbie Williams

Robbie has received an impressive 17 Brit Awards during his career, which is more than any other artist. In 2011, he received the award for Best British Group with Take That, while the year before he won the Outstanding Contribution to Music award. Additionally, he won the award for Best Single in the last 25 years for Angels.

3. Paul McCartney

Paul won the Outstanding Contribution award in 2008. In 2012, Paul became the last Beatle to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in the same year the French President decorated him with the Légion d’Honneur, with a rank of an officer for his services to music.
